Pleased to Have a Need

Let's take a moment to sit on this: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” - Psalms 46:1 KJV

Just by that word alone we can dismiss the lie that tells us, "We don't need anyone to get through life or to make something happen." God designed us to depend.

To depend on Him, to depend on Holy Spirit, to depend on Jesus. We don't have to feel inadequate, less than, or unequipped because we have needs. God gladly wants to meet us where we are to EXCEED THE NEED. 

Yet even though we know this truth about God, the enemy likes to make us insecure about having a need, which can cause us to never ask for the available help already promised to us. 

“Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”
Psalms 46:2-3 KJV

Repeat this: IT'S A BLESSING TO NEED JESUS! (keep saying it until you say it with confidence)

In Psalms 46:5 it reads, “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.”

When I read this, I'm reminded that needing Jesus welcomes blessings. Needing Jesus activates miracles. Needing Jesus let’s you live to be a testimony.

Don’t you want to be a living witness of the miracles you read about in the Bible. I believe God wants to use you to be a millennial miracle! 

But if you're anything like me, you want PROOF. Proof that GOD cares about the big and the small needs. Out of the hundreds of testimonies in the bible, here are THREE miracles God provided just  because they had FAITH TO ASK.

1. Jesus Heals Jairus’ Daughter -- Matthew 9:18-26; Mark 5:21-43
2. The paralyzed man that had friends with faith (faith with works) -- Luke 5:18-19
3. The women that had supplies but needed a word and faith -- 2 kings 4:1-7
